1. A heat press device for transferring a transfer material onto
a workpiece, comprising:
a lower support surface being configured to support the workpiece and the transfer material;
an upper pressing surface;
a heating element disposed adjacent to the lower support surface and the upper pressing surface when the upper pressing surface is in a closed configuration for applying heat to the transfer material and the workpiece;
an actuator attached to the upper pressing surface to provide relative motion between the lower support surface and the upper platen pressing surface of the heating to enable the heat press device to be in an open configuration to provide access for the workpiece and the transfer material and in the closed configuration to apply a pressure to the workpiece and the transfer material;
a movement assembly having:
a threaded rod attached to the upper pressing surface;
a knob attached to the threaded rod for rotating the threaded rod in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction;
wherein rotation of the threaded rod traverses the upper pressing surface closer to or further away from the lower support surface to set a pressure state between the lower support surface and the upper pressing surface when the heat press device is in the closed configuration and the workpiece and transfer material are disposed between the upper pressing surface and the lower support surface; and
an indicator configured to convey the rotational position of the threaded rod of the movement assembly which represents a predicted pressure state when the heat press device is traversed to the closed configuration while the workpiece and the transfer material are disposed between the upper pressing surface and the lower support surface.
