1. A method for vaginal light therapy of a patient, comprising:
providing a treatment device comprising a body having an outer surface extending between a proximal end and a rounded distal end of the body;
applying a photosensitizing agent into one or more pockets or features in the outer surface of the body;
inserting the treatment device into a vagina such that the distal end of the body is disposed adjacent a vaginal cervix and the proximal end of the body is disposed adjacent an entrance to the vagina;
activating one or more light sources carried by the body, each light source emitting light outwardly from the body at one or more wavelengths to treat one or more conditions, wherein the photosensitizing agent is activated when the one or more light sources are activated; and
removing the treatment device from the vagina.
