1. A method for mitigating peripheral nerve neuropathy associated with chemotherapy treatment, comprising:
exerting a compressive pressure on a body part of a patient positioned within an interior space of a compression exertion device during a session of chemotherapeutic agent treatment of the patient, wherein said exerting includes pressurizing a compression-inducing medium within the interior space of a compression exertion device, wherein the compression-inducing medium surrounds the body part and is in direct contact with at least a portion of a skin layer of the body part, wherein said exerting includes exerting the compressive pressure directly onto the skin layer of the body part via the compression-inducing medium being in direct contact with the at least a portion of a skin layer of the body part, wherein the body part is one of a hand and a foot, and wherein exerting the compressive pressure is performed to cause pressure-induced displacement of blood from at least the skin layer for limiting exposure of nerve endings of the skin layer to a chemotherapeutic agent administered to the patient during the session of chemotherapeutic agent treatment.
