1. A method of wireless communication operable at a first pico base station communicatively coupled with a macro base station, comprising:
transmitting or receiving, at the first pico base station, an access link traffic between the first pico base station and a user equipment (UE) in a first direction utilizing at least a portion of a transmission resource designated for a backhaul link traffic between the macro base station and a second pico base station in a second direction,
wherein the first direction comprises an uplink direction or a downlink direction, wherein the second direction comprises an uplink direction or a downlink direction that is different from the first direction, and wherein the macro base station, the first pico base station and the second pico base station are different base stations.
