1. A method for processing video data, comprising:
determining, for a conversion between a current transform block of a video and a bitstream of the video, whether a width of the current transform block is greater than a first threshold or a height of the current transform block is greater than a second threshold;
invoking a partition operation of the current transform block to obtain two transform blocks when the width of the current transform block is greater than the first threshold or the height of the current transform block is greater than the second threshold; and
performing the conversion at least based on two or more transform blocks,
wherein a signaling of the invoking and a signaling of the partition operation are omitted in the bitstream,
wherein the first threshold and the second threshold are equal to a first value which specifies a maximum transform size in luma sample, and
wherein when a video block has a width greater than the first threshold or a height greater than the second threshold, the video block is not partitioned into transform block subpartitions, and a syntax element indicating a low-frequency non-separable transform (LFNST) matrix index is omitted for the video block in the bitstream.
