1. A method for controlling an optical light delivery system, the method comprising:
providing a plurality of light emitting devices wherein each of the light emitting devices has a plurality of states;
producing a plurality of irradiance profile arrays for each of the plurality of states of the plurality of light emitting devices;
subdividing each of the plurality of irradiance profile arrays into a plurality of pixels, each pixel comprising a portion of each of the plurality of irradiance profile arrays;
determining a specific intensity level for each of the pixels;
assigning a value to each of the pixels in accordance with the specific intensity level; and
generating a plurality of base cases representing the plurality of states of the plurality of light emitting devices.
