1. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) comprising:
a transmitter;
a receiver; and
a processor;
the processor configured to determine a plurality of channel quality indicators (CQIs) using measurements of downlink transmissions;
the processor and the receiver configured to receive at least one radio resource control (RRC) message; and
the processor and the transmitter configured to transmit control information in slots based on the received at least one RRC message;
wherein the control information includes CQIs related to a first cell of the plurality of cells and a second cell of the plurality of cells, wherein CQIs related to the first cell of the plurality of cells are transmitted at a different periodicity than with which CQIs related to the second cell of the plurality of cells are transmitted;
wherein, after expiration of a first configured time period associated with the first cell of the plurality of cells, for a second time period the control information contains CQIs related to the second cell of the plurality of cells and not the first cell of the plurality of cells.
