1. A method of an access point (AP) in a communication system, the method comprising:
obtaining information on at least one first wireless device, based on at least one of information on at least one wireless device associated with the AP or information on at least one wireless device associated with a neighboring AP, the information on the at least one wireless device associated with the neighboring AP includes a received signal strength indicator (RSSI);
receiving, from a terminal, a request message for a list of wireless devices, the terminal being authenticated by the AP;
calculating an RSSI pattern of the at least one first wireless device based on the information on the at least one first wireless device;
as a response to the request message, filtering the at least one first wireless device to identify at least one second wireless device, based on a similarity of the RSSI pattern;
transmitting, to the terminal, the list of wireless devices including information on the at least one second wireless device;
transmitting, to an authentication server, an authentication request message for a third wireless device; and
receiving, from the authentication server, as a response to the authentication request message, an authentication response message including an authentication result of the third wireless device,
wherein the information on the at least one wireless device associated with the neighboring AP is received from the neighboring AP,
wherein authentication information of the terminal includes user authentication information of the terminal,
wherein identification information of the third wireless device includes at least one of a media access control (MAC) address of the third wireless device, a name of the third wireless device, or a type of the third wireless device, and
wherein the terminal includes a device capable of launching a web browser and executing user input, and the third wireless device includes a device accessing a wireless LAN using the terminal.
