1. A filter for filtering an incoming signal and obtaining a filtered output signal, the filter comprising a plurality of building blocks, each building block comprising:
a first delay element configured for realizing a first delay, and a second delay element configured for realizing a second delay,
a first scaling device between an input node of the first delay element and an output node of the second delay element, and
a second scaling device between an output node of the first delay element and an input node of the second delay element,
each building block moreover comprising:
a first cross scaling device connected between the output node of the first delay element and the output node of the second delay element,
and/or a second cross scaling device between the input node of the first delay element and the input node of the second delay element wherein each building block is configured such that, in operation, incoming signals at the input node of the second delay element are summed together and incoming signals at the output node of the second delay element are summed together,
wherein the building blocks are cascaded with a first building block as earliest building block,
wherein the output of the first delay element of an earlier building block is connected with the input of the first delay element of a following building block, and
wherein the output of the second delay element of the following building block is connected with the input of the second delay element of the earlier building block such that an output signal of the second delay element of a following building block is an incoming signal of the second delay element of an earlier building block,
such that when an incoming signal is applied to the input of the first delay element of the first building block the filtered output signal is obtained at the output of the second delay element of the first building block.
