1. An electric drive unit including a motor and an inverter disposed adjacent to one end of the motor in a rotational axis direction,
wherein the inverter includes:
a plurality of power modules each of which includes at least one switching element, the plurality of power modules constituting an inverter circuit configured to convert direct-current power into alternating-current power;
a smoothing capacitor that constitutes, together with the plurality of power modules, the inverter circuit;
a busbar that connects each of the power modules to the smoothing capacitor; and
a thin case that has a thickness of less than 50 mm in the rotational axis direction and that accommodates the power modules, the smoothing capacitor, and the busbar,
wherein the plurality of power modules are disposed at a periphery of the smoothing capacitor, and the smoothing capacitor and each of the power modules are disposed in an inner portion of the thin case and arranged on a same plane orthogonal to the rotational axis direction, and
wherein the busbar is formed to extend in a circumferential direction, and an inner edge portion of the busbar connected to a terminal of the smoothing capacitor has an arc shape or a circular shape extending in the circumferential direction.
