1. A device for use with a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), the device comprising:
an accelerometer for producing an output signal responsive to an acceleration or a position of the device;
a video display for displaying video data to a person;
software and a processor for executing the software, the processor coupled to control the accelerometer, and the video display;
a modem coupled to the processor for communicating over the WLAN;
a rechargeable battery for powering the device; and
a sphere-shaped housing for enclosing the battery, the processor, the accelerometer, and the modem,
wherein the device is controlled over the WLAN, and
wherein the video display is activated or controlled in response to the output signal.
