1. A battery module comprising:
a battery cell stack having a plurality of battery cells;
a module frame into which the battery cell stack is inserted; and
a pair of end plates that cover front and rear surfaces of the battery cell stack, respectively, and are coupled to the module frame,
wherein a terminal busbar opening and a connector opening are formed on at least one end plate of the pair of end plates, and a vent is formed at a lower end of the at least one end plate below the terminal busbar opening and the connector opening, and
wherein the vent is directed downwardly.
