1. An apparatus for operating as an anode in a magnetron having a cathode, the apparatus comprising:
a cylindrical wall made of a first metal; and
vanes extending inwardly from the cylindrical wall and configured to define a cavity to accommodate the cathode, the vanes each including a base portion made of the first metal and connected to the cylindrical wall and a center portion made of a second metal and connected to the base portion.
