1. A computing device for configuring a gaming device, the computing device comprising:
at least one memory with instructions stored thereon; and
at least one processor in communication with the at least one memory, wherein the instructions, when executed, cause the at least one processor to:
cause an operating system (OS) image to be installed on the gaming device;
cause a blockchain client to be installed on the gaming device, wherein the gaming device executes the blockchain client to:
connect to a blockchain network including a blockchain;
generate a preparation transaction including a device identifier (ID) associated with the gaming device; and
transmit the preparation transaction to the blockchain for storage.
