one or more processors configured to:

determine whether the information being stored in the element of the dataset is personal identifiable information (PII) data using a client PII flag associated with the element; and
in response to a determination that the information is PII data:
restrict storing the PII data until a PII key associated with the PII data is obtained, wherein the PII key comprises a unique identifier for an individual associated with the PII data;
obtain the PII key; and
in response to obtaining the PII key, store, in the dataset, the PII data and the PII key; and
a memory coupled to the one or more processors and configured to provide the one or more processors with instructions.
