1. A bolster for a degradation pick with a pick body having an upper surface and a bolster support extending from the upper surface, the bolster comprising:
a bolster body including a first end, the first end configured to couple to the pick body upper surface at a first interface;
wherein the bolster body further includes:
a bolster cap;
a bolster extension extending in a first direction from a first portion of a bottom of the bolster cap to the first end, the bolster extension including a side face between the bottom of the bolster cap and the first end, the side face configured to couple to the bolster support of the pick body at a second interface; and
a protrusion extending in the first direction from a second portion of the bottom of the bolster cap and extending in a second direction from the side face;
wherein the bolster extension extends in the first direction to a level beyond a level to which the protrusion extends.
