1. A laundry apparatus comprising:
a drum rotatably disposed in a main body;
a motor configured to drive the drum such that the drum is to rotate;
a lifter disposed at an inner surface of the drum;
a dryness sensing device provided at the lifter;
a wireless receiver provided inside the lifter and electrically connected to the dryness sensing device;
a wireless transmitter disposed between the main body and the drum to wirelessly provide power to the wireless receiver; and
a controller configured to receive a sensing result from the dryness sensing device and to determine a dryness value based on the received sensing result,
wherein the wireless transmitter is disposed below the drum to provide power to the wireless receiver provided inside the lifter located at a bottom during a rotation of the drum.
