1. A pure phase molecular sieve of TON framework having a molar ratio of SiO2/Al2O3 in a range of from 30 to 100 and, in its as-synthesized form, consisting of 1,3,4-trimethylimidazolium cations and optionally an alkali metal cation in its pores.
