1. An exercise machine, comprising:
a frame having a first end and a second end opposite of the first end;
a first stationary platform attached to the frame and positioned near the first end of the frame;
a carriage movably positioned upon the frame, wherein the carriage is adapted to be movable in a reciprocating manner along at least a portion of the frame;
a first handle support member positioned on the first stationary platform, wherein the first handle support member is positioned near a first side of the first stationary platform;
a first handle extendably and retractably positioned along a vertical axis within the first handle support member, wherein the first handle has a retracted position and an extended position with respect to the first handle support member, wherein when the first handle is within the extended position, the first handle is at a greater height than when in the retracted position, and wherein when the first handle is within the retracted position, the first handle is at a lower height than when in the extended position to be stowed away;
a second handle support member positioned on the first stationary platform, wherein the second handle support member is positioned near a second side of the first stationary platform; and
a second handle extendably and retractably positioned along a vertical axis within the second handle support member, wherein the second handle has a retracted position and an extended position with respect to the second handle support member, wherein when the second handle is within the extended position, the second handle is at a greater height than when in the retracted position, and wherein when the second handle is within the retracted position, the second handle is at a lower height than when in the extended position to be stowed away,
wherein rotation of the first handle in the extended position locks a height and a position of the first handle, and wherein rotation of the second handle in the extended position locks a height and a position of the second handle.
