1. A prosthetic liner having an open proximal end and a closed distal end, the prosthetic liner comprising:
a tubular body formed from a knitted structure by a plurality of elastomeric silicone filaments having a plurality of interstices permitting transfer of air therethrough, the knitted structure includes first and second layers of elastomeric silicone filaments adhered to one another;
wherein the first layer of elastomeric silicone filaments is adhered to the second layer of elastomeric silicone filaments;
wherein the elastomeric silicone filaments have a solid cross-section.
