1. A computer-implemented method for facilitating risk assessment of coronary artery disease (CAD) for a subject based on image analysis of one or more medical images of the subject, the computer-implemented method comprising:
accessing, by a computer system, one or more coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) images depicting one or more regions of one or more coronary arteries of a subject;
generating, by the computer system, one or more curved reformation (CPR) views of the one or more regions of the one or more coronary arteries of the subject;
detecting, by the computer system, presence of plaque in the one or more regions of the one or more coronary arteries based at least in part by analyzing the one or more CCTA images;
estimating, by the computer system, a severity of stenosis where stenosis is detected in the one or more regions of the one or more coronary arteries based at least in part by analyzing the one or more CCTA images, wherein the severity of stenosis is categorized as one of one or more predetermined ranges of stenosis; and
generating, by the computer system, a graphical representation of analysis results of the one or more CCTA images, the graphical representation comprising a depiction of the one or more regions of the one or more coronary arteries of the subject, wherein the depiction of the one or more regions of the one or more coronary arteries comprises a graphical overlay indicating both presence of plaque and the severity of stenosis together on the depiction of the one or more regions of the one or more coronary arteries of the subject, the graphical overlay of the severity of stenosis comprising one or more color coding based on the one or more predetermined ranges of stenosis,
wherein the graphical representation further comprises one or more CPR views of the one or more regions of the one or more coronary arteries of the subject,
the depiction of the one or more regions of the one or more coronary arteries of the subject comprising the graphical overlay indicating both presence of plaque and the severity of stenosis and the one or more CPR views in combination configured to be used as an aid for CCTA interpretation to facilitate risk assessment of CAD and to determine a need for additional analysis of the one or more CCTA images, wherein the additional analysis of the one or more CCTA images comprises one or more of volumetric plaque analysis or ischemia analysis,
wherein the computer system comprises a computer processor and an electronic storage medium.
