1. A biometric data collection system comprising:
a first component comprising a surface adapted to obtain a representation of an appendage of an individual;
a second component comprising a substrate adapted to receive a biological sample from the individual, wherein the substrate of the second component is separate from the surface of the first component, and wherein the second component comprises a press above the substrate; and
a processor communicatively coupled to the first and second components, the processor being configured to
(i) convert the representation of the appendage into an electronically readable form based on identified details of the appendage of the individual label, and
(ii) label either the substrate or a biological sample collection device comprising the substrate with the electronically readable form of the appendage.
