1. A server, comprising:
a processor; and
a memory,
wherein, after a read of an applet of a contactless card after an entry of the contactless card into a communication field, the processor is configured to:
receive the read of the applet,
determine if an adjustment of the counter belongs to a first sequence within a first window, and
after determining that the adjustment of the counter belongs to the first sequence, resynchronize the counter within the first window.
