1. A computer-implemented method, comprising:
displaying, on a display of a user device, a graphical user interface of an issue tracking system, the graphical user interface of the issue tracking system comprising:
a queue panel unique to a user, the queue panel displaying two or more user-defined queue categories, each user-defined queue category comprising a set of queues, wherein:
each queue of the set of queues is associated with a respective grouping of issue items from the issue tracking system having at least one parameter in common,
the queue panel is further configured to display activity data corresponding to queues in at least one user-defined queue category of the two or more queue categories;
in accordance with a first refresh rate associated with a first queue category lapsing, initiating an update of first activity data associated with the first queue category, the first refresh rate based at least in part on a user-defined priority;
querying a server of an issue tracking system to obtain a first list of queues defined by the user under the first queue category;
generating a first refresh request for the identified first list of queues;
in response to submitting the first refresh request, receiving updated first activity data corresponding to each queue of the first list of queues, the updated first activity data comprising an aggregate of a parameter of the respective grouping of issue items associated with each queue; and
in the queue panel of the graphical user interface, rendering the first activity data corresponding to each queue of the first list of queues;
in accordance with a second refresh rate associated with a second queue category lapsing, initiating an update of second activity data associated with the second queue category, the second refresh rate different from the first refresh rate;
querying the server of the issue tracking system to obtain a second list of queues defined by the user under the second queue category;
generating a second refresh request for the identified second list of queues;
in response to submitting the second refresh request, receiving updated second activity data corresponding to each queue of the second list of queues, the updated second activity data comprising the aggregate of the parameter of the respective grouping of issue items associated with each queue; and
in the queue panel of the graphical user interface, rendering the second activity data corresponding to each queue of the second list of queues.
