1. A method comprising:
in response to detecting an event, determining a data management policy to be applied to an information handling system;
calculating a data transfer frequency and data transfer size of data from a volatile storage device to a non-volatile storage device; and
transferring the data from the volatile storage device to the non-volatile storage device based on the data transfer frequency and the data transfer size to prevent data loss, wherein the data management policy is based on a plurality of scenarios that includes whether an uninterruptible power supply is healthy and a charge level of a battery is high, and wherein one scenario of the scenarios includes when the uninterruptible power supply is healthy and the non-volatile storage device is unhealthy.
