1. A laundry treatment apparatus comprising:
a cabinet that defines an external appearance of the laundry treatment apparatus;
a tub provided in the cabinet and having a cylindrical shape;
a drum that has the cylindrical shape, that is configured to rotate within the tub and to receive laundry therein, and that is made of a metallic material;
an induction module provided at an outer surface of the tub and configured to generate a magnetic field to heat the drum within the tub via induction; and
a module-mounting portion located on the outer surface of the tub and configured to receive the induction module,
wherein the module-mounting portion comprises a flat region that is arranged radially closer to a rotational axis of the drum than a remaining portion of the outer surface of the tub.
