A method of making a solid fertilizer composition wherein the solid fertilizer composition comprises a) urea granules and/or urea prills and b) a liquid solution wherein said liquid solution comprises i) one or more biodegradable polymeric and/or oligomeric nitrification inhibitors (BPONIs) and ii) a NOSDS (Non-aqueous Organic Solvent Delivery System) wherein said one or more biodegradable polymeric and/or oligomeric nitrification inhibitors (BPONI) are selected from the group consisting of:
