1. A method of making a solid fertilizer composition wherein the solid fertilizer composition comprises a) urea granules and/or urea prills and b) a liquid solution wherein said liquid solution comprises i) one or more biodegradable polymeric and/or oligomeric nitrification inhibitors (BPONIs) and ii) a NOSDS (Non-aqueous Organic Solvent Delivery System) wherein said one or more biodegradable polymeric and/or oligomeric nitrification inhibitors (BPONI) are selected from the group consisting of:
wherein R43 and R44, R45 and R46 are one or more members independently selected from the group consisting of: H, and —CH2OH,
wherein R47, R48, R49 R50, R51 and R52 are one or more members independently selected from the group consisting of: H, and —CH2OH,
wherein R53, R54, R55, R56, R57, R58, R59 and R60 are one or more members independently selected from the group consisting of: H and —CH2OH, and
wherein R61, R62, R63, R64, R65, R66, R67 and R68 are one or more members independently selected from the group consisting of: H and —CH2OH, and x=2-20,
wherein the method comprises coating said urea granules and/or urea prills with the liquid solution at a temperature range between 20-80° C., and wherein said one or more BPONIs do not react with said urea granules and/or urea prills.
