1. A process, comprising:
applying a first magnetic field to a slurry, wherein the slurry comprises black mass particles, and wherein the black mass particles comprise electrode active material particles, polymeric binder, aluminum current collection material, and copper current collection material; and
separating a first set of the electrode active material particles from the slurry.
