1. A method of cleaning a hub of a catheter, the method comprising:
engaging external threads of the hub with a cleaning cap having a cleaning member, wherein the cleaning cap includes two or more threaded members spaced from at least a portion of a cap body and a radial gap positioned between the threaded members and the portion of the cap body, wherein the two or more threaded members oppose one another and are at least partially surrounded by the cap body, and wherein engaging the external threads of the hub with the cleaning cap includes engaging the external threads with helical threads of each of the two or more threaded members;
contacting at least a portion of the hub with the cleaning member disposed within a cavity of the cleaning cap between a first threaded member and a second threaded member of the two or more threaded members,
wherein the two or more threaded members are adapted to flex radially away from the external threads so that the helical threads are at least one of slidable, snappable, or jumpable over the external threads of the hub.
