[ 33. A method performed by a terminal in a communication system, the method comprising:
receiving, from a base station, downlink control information including first transport block information, second transport block information, and antenna port related information for a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) demodulation reference signal (DMRS), wherein the first transport block information corresponds to a first transport block and the second transport block information corresponds to a second transport block;
identifying whether the first transport block is enabled based on the first transport block information and whether the second transport block is enabled based on the second transport block information; and
identifying a number of at least one layer, at least one antenna port allocated to the terminal, and information on a rank pattern based on the antenna port related information according to whether the first transport block is enabled and whether the second transport block is enabled,
wherein a maximum number of the at least one antenna ports allocated to the terminal is determined based on the information on the rank pattern, and
wherein a value of the information on the rank pattern indicated by the antenna port related information in case of two transport blocks being enabled is equal to or larger than a value of the information on the rank pattern in case of one transport block being enabled.]
