1. A compound of

OG Complex Work Unit Chemistry
wherein:
moiety A is a multicyclic ring system having three or more consecutively fused 5-membered or 6-membered carbocyclic or heterocyclic rings with at least one ring being a 6-membered ring;
wherein at least one ring of moiety A is fused to exactly one other ring;
Y is N or CR;
R1 and R2 are each independently selected from the group consisting of alkyl, cycloalkyl, heteroalkyl, heterocycloalkyl, aryl, heteroaryl, and combinations thereof;
each of X1, X2, and X3 is independently C or N;
RA and RB each independently represents zero, mono, or up to the maximum allowed number of substitutions to its associated ring;
each of R, RA, and RB is independently a hydrogen or a substituent selected from the group consisting of deuterium, halogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl, heteroalkyl, heterocycloalkyl, arylalkyl, alkoxy, aryloxy, amino, silyl, alkenyl, cycloalkenyl, heteroalkenyl, alkynyl, aryl, heteroaryl, acyl, carboxylic acid, ether, ester, nitrile, isonitrile, sulfanyl, sulfinyl, sulfonyl, phosphino, and combinations thereof;
any two adjacent R, RA, or RB can be joined or fused together to form a ring and
when Y is N, at least one of the following is true:
i) moiety A comprises three consecutively fused rings, wherein the middle ring of the three consecutively fused rings is a 5-membered ring:
ii) moiety A comprises four or more fused rings; or
iii) moiety A comprises three consecutively fused 6-membered rings and at least one of RA and RB is a substituent selected from the group consisting of deuterium, alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, heteroaryl, silyl, and combinations thereof.
