1. A heater for an aerosol generating apparatus, the heater being inserted into a cigarette to heat the cigarette for generating an aerosol and comprising:
an electrically insulating substrate having a planar structure;
a first electrically conductive heating element formed along an outer path on the electrically insulating substrate;
a second electrically conductive heating element formed along an inner path on the electrically insulating substrate;
wherein the first electrically conductive heating element and the second electrically conductive heating element are electric resistive elements that are heated by a current flowing through the first electrically conductive heating element and the second electrically conductive heating element, and
wherein the outer path of the first electrically conductive heating element is spaced apart from the inner path of the second electrically conductive heating element by a predetermined distance and is formed substantially outside the inner path on the electrically insulating substrate.
