1. A method for wireless communication in a wireless local area network (WLAN) performed by a first wireless device, comprising:
receiving, from a second wireless device, one or more signals at a signal strength that is less than a signal strength threshold;
transmitting one or more first fine timing measurement (FTM) frames to the second wireless device in accordance with a capability of the second wireless device;
receiving one or more second FTM frames from the second wireless device, wherein the one or more second FTM frames indicate a first distance between the first wireless device and the second wireless device; and
transmitting a message to steer the second wireless device from a first frequency band to a second frequency band in accordance with a location associated with the second wireless device, wherein the location is associated with channel state information of the second wireless device and the first distance.
