1. A network node comprising:
at least one memory; and
at least one processor coupled with the at least one memory and configured to cause the network node to:
establish a data connection with a user equipment (“UE”), the data connection providing the UE with access to a remote data network via a first data path;
determine to configure the data connection to provide access to a local data network in addition to the remote data network based on information received from a session management function (“SMF”);
activate a second data path associated with the local data network in response to determining to configure the data connection to provide access to the local data network; and
provide the UE with access to one or more services via the local data network using the second data path.
