1. A method of performing cell reselection by a wireless communications device, the method comprising:
measuring a signal strength of radio signals received from a serving cell;
determining whether the signal strength of the radio signals received from the serving cell is greater than a first predetermined signal strength threshold;
performing a first neighbor cell measurement at a first rate for the cell reselection in an idle mode in a case that the signal strength is greater than the first predetermined signal strength threshold;
comparing the signal strength of the radio signals received from the serving cell with a predetermined condition in a case that the signal strength of the radio signals received from the serving cell is not greater than the first predetermined signal strength threshold; and
performing a second neighbor cell measurement at a second rate, which is lower than the first rate, for the cell reselection in an idle mode in a case that the predetermined condition is satisfied.
