1. A networked speaker device, comprising:
a housing;
an Ethernet port in the housing configured to be coupled to an Ethernet cable to receive power and audio data transmitted over the Ethernet cable;
a power supply subsystem in the housing configured to manage the power received at the Ethernet port;
a digital audio amplifier in the housing powered by the power supply subsystem, said digital audio amplifier driving the at least one speaker driver to render an audio output; and
at least one heater resistor in the housing powered by the power supply subsystem, wherein the at least one heater resistor automatically heats the interior of the housing when temperature inside the housing is below a given temperature.
