1. A computer-implemented method comprising:
receiving a web request;
identifying a user associated with the web request; and
after receiving the web request and prior to providing a resource requested in the web request, processing the web request based on information about the user's previous online commerce activity, wherein processing the web request based on the information about the user's previous online commerce activity comprises comparing the information about the user's previous online commerce activity to a rule and processing the web request based on the rule, including performing one of:
imposing a delay before allowing the web request to proceed to a destination of the web request;
blocking the web request;
routing or rerouting the web request to a particular server; or
denying access to the resource requested in the web request.
