1. A control circuit for use in a switched-mode power supply, the control circuit comprising:
an error amplifier (EA) module having an input terminal at which a feedback voltage is received and another input terminal at which a reference voltage is received, the EA module configured to output an EA signal;
a soft-start voltage generation module configured to produce a soft-start reference voltage of gradually increasing amplitude;
an amplitude limiter module configured to limit an amplitude of the EA signal based on the soft-start reference voltage; and
a pulse width modulation (PWM) comparator module having a first input terminal at which the amplitude-limited EA signal is received and a second input terminal at which a high-frequency signal is received, the PWM comparator module configured to output a PWM signal,
wherein the feedback voltage characterizes an output voltage, an output current or an output power of the switched-mode power supply, and the PWM signal is configured to control operation of the switched-mode power supply.
