1. A work machine having an ordinary operating condition, the work machine comprising:
a chassis;
an engine supported on the chassis; and
a sensor supported on the chassis and configured to measure an amount of deviation of a current operating condition of the work machine from the ordinary operating condition of the work machine;
in which the sensor is configured to direct the engine to shut down if the amount of deviation measured by the sensor exceeds a predetermined threshold value; and
in which the engine is prevented from restarting if the amount of deviation measured by the sensor exceeds a predetermined threshold value.
