A process for mixing in a wastewater treatment system comprising simultaneously introducing at least two intermittent bursts of pressurized gas from a nozzle and into a containment unit in a wastewater treatment system, wherein the at least two intermittent bursts of pressurized gas from the nozzle are introduced in different directions.
