1. A method for manufacturing a headrest stay, comprising:
removing material from a tubular body having a longitudinal axis by cutting a plurality of teeth on an insertion end of the tubular body; and
pressing the plurality of teeth inward toward the longitudinal axis of the tubular body to form a chamfered endform on the insertion end of the tubular body.
