1. A method of using a linkage device, the method comprising:
coupling a sensor and a controller to a vehicle;
coupling a linkage device between a vehicle frame and a suspension arm, wherein the linkage device comprises a first linkage component and a second linkage component coupled to the first linkage component, wherein the first linkage component is coupled to the suspension arm, and the second linkage component is rotatably coupled to the vehicle frame;
mechanically modifying physical inputs by the linkage device;
detecting the mechanically modified physical inputs by the sensor and output a sensor signal based on the detected physical inputs to the controller; and
outputting a control signal from the controller to the variable shock absorber in response to receiving the sensor signal.
