1. An insert for selective engagement with a palm stapler; said insert comprising:
a body having an exterior surface adapted to be complementary to a portion of a bore defined in the palm stapler;
the body including:
a top wall;
an opposing bottom wall;
a side wall extending between the top wall and the bottom wall;
a slot defined in the body, wherein the slot extends from a first opening defined in a first region of the exterior surface in the top wall to a second opening defined in a second region of the exterior surface in the bottom wall;
wherein the slot is configured to receive at least one fastener therein for installation in a workpiece;
a holding mechanism provided on the body;
wherein said holding mechanism is configured to hold the at least one fastener in the slot in a position where the at least one fastener is able to be struck by a hammer of the palm stapler; and
a sensor probe provided on the body, wherein the sensor probe is adapted to detect voltage in a wire on a work surface into which the at least one fastener is to be installed;
wherein a part of the sensor probe extends for a distance outwardly beyond the side wall of the body.
