1. An electronic add-on module configured to be releasably attached to a drug delivery device, wherein the electronic add-on module comprises:
at least one attachment mechanism configured for releasably attaching the electronic add-on module to a portion of the drug delivery device,
wherein the at least one attachment mechanism comprises:
at least one attachment member with a longitudinal axis, a distal end surface, and an opposite proximal end surface,
wherein the distal end surface is an adhesive surface and the proximal end surface is an adhesive surface; and
a main housing with a distal attachment surface formed by the distal end surface of the at least one attachment mechanism and a proximal actuation surface, wherein the proximal actuation surface defines an auxiliary injection user interface configured to apply pressure onto an injection user interface of the drug delivery device,
wherein the proximal actuation surface comprises electrodes forming a capacitive switch.
