1. A method for treating a neurodegenerative disease in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising administering to the subject a HAT activator and a HDAC inhibitor, wherein the HAT activator is:

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, the HDAC inhibitor is romidepsin, and wherein the neurodegenerative disease is Alzheimer's Disease.
