1. A closure for an ampoule, the closure comprising:
a cap portion arranged to engage with a broken neck of an opened ampoule; and
a skirt portion extending from the cap portion, the skirt portion being arranged to grip sides of an ampoule;
wherein a surface of the cap portion that is arranged to engage the broken neck comprises a convex shape projection arranged to project inside an open neck of the ampoule; and
wherein the cap portion is formed from a deformable material so as to deform and seal against the broken neck.
