1. An anchor for use in repairing a native heart valve, comprising:
an anchor body configured to transition from a first configuration, in which the anchor body is straightened for transvascular delivery to the native heart valve, to a second configuration with an upper portion configured to be deployed on an atrial side of the native heart valve and a lower portion configured to engage a ventricular side of leaflets of the native heart valve;
wherein the upper portion and the lower portion together comprise at least two turns;
wherein the lower portion in the second configuration is configured to have a diameter smaller than a major axis of the native heart valve; and
wherein when the anchor body is in the second configuration the anchor is configured to attach to the leaflets without contacting an entire circumference of an annulus of the native heart valve.
