1. A method of orthodontic treatment planning comprising:
producing a modified 2-D digital image comprising modifying a 2-D digital picture of a smiling patient taken before orthodontic treatment,
wherein at least one of the patient's teeth in the modified 2-D digital image is in a new position according to simulated orthodontic treatment in which the at least one of the patient's teeth virtually moves from an original position at a time of the 2-D digital picture of the smiling patient taken before orthodontic treatment to the new position, and
wherein color of the at least one tooth in the new position in the modified 2-D digital image comprises color from the at least one tooth in the original position in the 2-D digital picture taken before orthodontic treatment.
