1. A bone nail for the heel comprising:
a front portion insertable into one or more bones or bone fragments of the heel; and
a main portion extending from the front portion and having a rear end face opposite the front portion;
wherein a center of the bone nail in a longitudinal direction forms part of a continuously uninterrupted solid core that extends across a majority of the main portion and that extends in a curvate manner with a substantially constant radius of curvature; and
wherein the main portion defines at least one bore extending therethrough and forming a substantially straight pathway that extends from the rear end face to a side opening in an outer surface of the main portion to receive a bone anchor therethrough, while the entire bone nail is devoid of any bores that intersect one another.
