5. An ultrasonic generator system, comprising:
an output stage operative to provide an ultrasonic drive signal to a node;
a bias generator operative to generate a switched bias signal; and
means responsive to the switched bias signal for producing a specified bias level,
wherein the node is operative to provide a sum of the ultrasonic drive signal and the specified bias level, thereby producing a biased ultrasonic drive signal for driving an ultrasonic transducer; and
wherein the bias generator includes an inductance, a switch, a voltage source switchingly coupled by the switch to the inductance, and a pulse source operative to actuate and deactivate the switch.
